1st China-Germany Meeting on 2D magnets, topological materials, and spintronics devices

Date: 27.04.2022 – 29.04.2022

Venue: University of Mainz, Germany

The University of Mainz, together with its partners from the Peking University and the Beijing Institute of Technology, organize the first bilateral China-Germany meeting on magnetic 2D materials, 2D heterostructures, and topological materials. The workshop will take place simultaneously in Mainz, Germany, and Beijing, China, with on-site talks of speakers from Germany and China in Mainz and Beijing, respectively, that will be broadcast to the other location. This bilateral meeting aims to promote exchanges between Chinese and German scientists in the emerging field of 2D magnetic/topological materials, spintronic materials & devices for next-generation electronic technology. It is an ideal platform to share and exchange ideas, discuss the latest developments in the field of 2D materials, and establish new long-term cooperations.

We invite you to join us in Mainz and to contribute to our workshop by presenting a poster in the poster session. If you are interested to join us in Mainz, please contact us by the 15th of April (topdyn@uni-mainz.de). We have funds available to support the participation of Ph.D. students (travel and local costs) in case they present a poster in one of the poster sessions.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Mainz!

M. Kläui, Y. Mokrousov (University of Mainz), Y. Hou (Peking University), and W. Feng (Beijing Institute of Technology)
